Providing a state-of-the-art educational environment.

Colliers Project Leaders was engaged to provide project management services for the construction of the new Elizabeth Baldwin Elementary School. The new Baldwin building has 36 classrooms housing Pre-K and Kindergarten through 5th grades and an enrollment of more than 800 students, the largest in the district.

The existing 65,900 gsf school facility was demolished. The new building contains STEAM classrooms, media centers, designated art and music classrooms, special education support spaces, and age-appropriate play structures.

As project manager, Colliers Project Leaders assisted the Owner in coordinating and managing the project from design development through occupancy and provided confirmation that the facility fulfills the functional and performance requirements of the Owner. Our project management and commissioning services included:

  • Prepared a final project budget for all categories of work
  • Updated the master schedule from design through commissioning and turnover of the final phase of construction
  • Reviewed design documents
  • Submitted to the Owner monthly reports of the progress of the project
  • Tracked and monitored all project-related expenditures
  • Conducted regular on-site inspections to monitor the work in progress
  • Organized, managed, expedited, and monitored punch list and project close out issues after substantial completion of the project
