Commissioning of HVAC system upgrades at town police & fire stations.

Colliers Project Leaders provided comprehensive commissioning services for the installation of new and upgraded HVAC systems at the Police Station and Fire Station in Wellesley, MA.

As part of the HVAC system upgrade, a mechanical system was designed that involved replacing the existing steam boiler with new hot water condensing boilers and a new hot water piping system with variable speed pumps and hot water suspended unit heaters in the apparatus bay. Controls were designed to interlock unit heater operation with overhead door position to reduce energy usage

We were responsible for verifying that the HVAC systems performed according to the design intent and the owner’s operational needs, as well as overseeing submittal reviews, development of equipment installation check lists, and functional performance test procedures.
