On-call commissioning for a number of projects throughout UConn’s Storrs campus.
The University of Connecticut has engaged Colliers Project Leaders to serve as an on-call commissioning agent for a number of projects throughout the University’s Storrs Campus. Commissioning projects have included:
- New Social Sciences and Humanities Buildings: Construction of two new buildings, Oak Hall & Laurel Hall. Oak Hall is 120,000 square feet and is home to both classroom and departmental office space. The Laurel Hall is 60,000 square feet of classroom space. These buildings provide a new home for the social sciences and humanities departments and bring improved classroom facilities into the heart of the campus. Both buildings received LEED Gold Certification.
- Gentry Building Completion Project: This project was the second phase of a two-phased project to provide a modern home for the Neag School of Education. The first phase included a 42,000 square foot addition to provide additional and specialized spaces that could not be accommodated within the existing structure. The second phase focused on code and environmental upgrades of the original 57,995 gsf building and included new fire protection, HVAC, and electrical systems. The Gentry Building received LEED Silver Certification.
- Gant Building Renovation: Commissioning agent during the renovation to the 285,000 square foot Gant Academic and Research Science Building. Building interiors will be demolished and new partitions, finishes and MEP systems will be provided. The building is targeted for LEED Gold Certification and will conform to Connecticut High Performance Building requirements.
