Transforming urban space for new educational center.

Colliers Project Leaders provided project management services for the $200 Million South Street Landing Redevelopment in downtown Providence. The project was a public/private partnership between the Rhode Island Division of Purchases, Project Developer Commonwealth Ventures LLC, and Brown University that transformed an approximately 275,000 gsf former electric power station into a new Nursing Education Center (NEC) with University of Rhode Island (URI) and Rhode Island College (RIC) occupying approximately half of the completed facility and Brown University the other half.

The new NEC included the build out and renovation of 132,449 gsf of space for an advanced nursing education center for use by URI and RIC.

The Brown University tenant fit out of the South Street Landing included the fit out of levels 3-6 and approximately 136,000 gsf that is home to 13 administrative units.

Colliers provided project management services throughout the construction and closeout phases. Colliers was responsible for reviewing and monitoring the construction schedule, maintaining a project financial status report, and reviewing the installation of construction for quality purposes.
