Multiple commissioning projects throughout leading NYC medical center.

Colliers Project Leaders served as commissioning agent for a number of projects throughout New York University’s Langone Medical Center. Colliers Project Leaders’ initial engagement involved the Medical Center’s renovation of the 22,000 square feet of the historic Trinity Building in lower Manhattan, resulting in the construction of its Downtown Ambulatory Care Center.

Subsequent commissioning engagements at the Medical Center have included:

  • Berg Animal Facility
  • Dermatopathology Lab
  • HCC Building
  • Smilow Research Center
  • Tisch Building
  • 38th Street Outpatient Surgery Center

Comprehensive commissioning services included submittal reviews, shop drawings and RFI reviews, development of a commissioning plan, weekly inspection/status reporting, systems performance assessments as well as operations and maintenance operator training. During the acceptance phase, we provided verification of the accuracy of final testing, system compliance and performance, and supervised and observed functional performance testing of the facility’s heating, cooling, ventilation, chilled water systems, electrical, fire alarm, and fire protection systems.
