New, consolidated public school for Easthampton.
Colliers Project Leaders has been engaged to provide project management services for the construction of the City of Easthampton’s new Mountain View School. The project consolidates the City’s three elementary schools – Maple, Center and Pepin – with White Brook Middle School, which will be demolished. It will be constructed on the middle school’s existing site off Park Street.
Additional components of the school include: a running track at the athletic field, a roundabout at the new school’s entrance in the vicinity of the intersection of Park Street and South Street, terrazzo flooring in high-pedestrian traffic areas, and a maintenance building.
Colliers is providing project management services during the pre-design/design phase, construction phase, and closeout phase of the project. During the design phase, Colliers is responsible for coordinating the design process, reconciling design solutions with program expectations, cost estimates, and budget parameters, and managing the bidding, prequalification, and contracting process.
During the construction phase, Colliers will coordinate construction activities, monitor and manage construction changes and project finances, oversee construction progress, and review effectiveness of contractor quality management processes and contract compliance.
Finally, during the closeout phase, Colliers will manage the building occupancy, monitor and manage contractor correction of problems, and facilitate the training of operating staff in systems operations and maintenance.
