Exceeding expectations.
Colliers Project Leaders provided project management for the $21.6 Million renovation of Holyoke High School. Built in 1964, Holyoke High School is a three-story building encompassing a total of 199,560 gsf.
A feasibility study concluded that the school was in critical need of updates to reflect current technologies and teaching methodologies. The approved improvement project focused primarily upon the modernization of the building’s mechanical and electrical systems. As owner’s project manager, we interfaced with and served as liaison between the school building committee and the Massachusetts School Building Authority.
Due to the major emphasis upon replacement of the building’s mechanical systems, our role as owner’s project manager included an integrated project management and commissioning approach to facilitate, coordinate and manage the project. Holyoke High School was completed on time and under budget. With the surplus funds available, the City subsequently moved forward with a much needed renovation/addition to the high school’s science classrooms and laboratories. We continued to serve as owner’s project manager for the science renovation project.
