Delivering a dynamic 21st-century space to support student engagement.

Colliers Project Leaders is providing project management services for the new B.F. Norton Elementary School, a modern K-5 facility designed to support the district’s growing student population. The new three-and-a-half-story, 64,500 gsf school will accommodate 576 students and address critical health, safety, and accessibility needs.

The design is organized into two primary zones: Zone A will house shared spaces such as the gymnasium, music classroom, cafeteria, kitchen, and utility areas, while Zone B will contain the academic wing with classrooms. With a focus on creating a 21st-century learning environment, the new school will provide dynamic, flexible spaces that support collaboration and student engagement.

Colliers Project Leaders has been engaged to provide project management services throughout the design phase and construction phases, as well as closeout services.

Colliers Project Leaders is responsible for ensuring the quality and feasibility of the design documents; developing and monitoring project budget and schedule; managing project costs and maintaining a financial status report; facilitating the selection of a Construction Manager and coordinating their on-site activities; facilitating project meetings; reviewing and updating the master work plan; testing systems performance; and managing the master move plan.

To ensure a more efficient closeout process, Colliers Project Leaders is also monitoring construction quality and managing the construction manager’s correction of problems and the MEP commissioning process.
