Sarah E. Maston, PE, BCxP, LEED AP of Colliers Project Leaders USA Nominated to Serve as ASHRAE's Treasurer for 2024-25

BOSTON, MA – March 11, 2024 – Colliers Project Leaders USA, a division of Colliers Engineering & Design, is proud to announce that Sarah E. Maston, PE, BCxP, LEED AP, Geographic Discipline Leader of Commissioning & Energy Services for Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, has been nominated to ASHRAE’s 2024-25 Slate of Officers. Ms. Maston was nominated to serve as the organization’s treasurer.

“It is such an honor to be selected to hold the position of treasurer for the upcoming term year,” said Ms. Maston. “I have been very fortunate to have served in several roles that allowed me to listen and learn from members across the world. There is a lot of work to be done within the coming years and I look forward to serving my community while advancing the built environment.”

Ms. Maston has been involved in the ASHRAE organization for over 25 years. Most recently, she served as a Vice President and Technology Council Chair. In these roles, she encouraged strategic discussions of future technologies, supported decarbonization efforts, and worked across the organization to implement Presidential initiatives and other strategic goals. Other roles she has held with ASHRAE include Conference and Exposition Committee Chair; Building Commissioning Technical Committee (TC 7.9) Chair; Technical Activities Committee Member; Society Planning Committee Chair; Finance Committee Member; and Technology Council Chair. Ms. Maston has also been the recipient of ASHRAE’s Distinguished Service Award.

Following the official executive board elections in May, Ms. Maston will assume the role of treasurer at ASHRAE’s conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. Being nominated for treasurer has also set her on a path to becoming the organization's president. Ms. Maston is expected to become the President-Elect in the 2025-2026 year and President from 2026-2027.

Ms. Maston has over 25 years of experience in the design and commissioning of HVAC systems and equipment. Prior to joining Colliers Project Leaders USA, she owned Green Footprints Commissioning, Inc. Her firm specialized in the commissioning process including operations and maintenance training; LEED commissioning; existing building commissioning; forensic commissioning and troubleshooting; and operations and management training of facilities personnel for system efficiency.
