Colliers Project Leaders USA is pleased to announce it has hired Darren Schumer as the leader of Corporate Interiors Services at the firm’s New York City office. Mr. Schumer has over 30 years of experience in real estate development, construction, and project management.

Mr. Schumer has partnered with real estate developers, landlords, and tenants throughout New York and New Jersey, providing consulting, project management, and owner’s representation services. Following the September 11, 2001, attack on the Twin Towers, he was involved in the relocation and construction of companies affected by the towers’ collapse. Other notable experience includes capital improvements; new development; repositioning of properties to increase value; interior office build-outs; complex building infrastructure; and residential, retail, and hospitality renovations.
Some of his previous capital improvement clients include the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Public Health, Access Capital, Harlem Children’s Zone, Lee & Associates, Sierra Real Estate, TB Alliance, Thor Equities, and Zero Point Zero, to name but a few.
Mr. Schumer holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware and a Certificate in Construction Management from the Real Estate School at New York University. He is also a member of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association.
